Why You're Off The Hook...

Okay, I get these daily email affirmations...every day...like every 24 hours...and there was this one that really blew me away.
It said...

"My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook."

Now aren't you glad you stopped by the blog today? Puts things in a whole new perspective, doesn't it?

I can no longer blame anyone else for my mood, behavior, actions...anything!

It's totally up to me how I react to anything...

And guess what? I'm choosing to reactive very positively to this news! Not because of you...Though I still do appreciate everything you do that is good and kind...

My happiness doesn't depend on you doing something good and kind.

Just wanted you to know.

Although I've heard this many times in many ways, this version sums it up best!

Plus, it never hurts to be reminded that your happiness does depend on YOU! (or, in MY case...ME!)

Yeah, that's what intrigued me about this affirmation. I liked the way it summed it all up.

And in sort of an amuzing way, which is so unlike either of us. Appreciating something that has a little "spont" and "cleverity."

What a fantastic affirmation! It's short, sweet, to the point, and TRUE!
I spent much of my life blaming others when I felt disappointed, stressed and unhappy. And, yes, there are still times when I do... but I'm learning, I'm learning.
I'm going to tape that one to my mirror for sure.
THANKS!

Eileen, I think most of us have at one time or another blamed other people for our plight in life. BUT...like you, I think many of us are working to correct that belief...make that proverbial paradigm shift.

THanks for your comment!
